This classic design dates back to the 1800's and closely resembles original chairs handmade from woods harvested from local forests in and around the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York. Originally made from twigs and vines, Adirondacks in general have retained their curved fan back and reclining seat built low to the ground for easy access. J Simon has built upon that design by adding additional comfort and extended durability with more curvature in the back, wider arms and slightly more seat height. He uses only the finest 1 1/4 thick cypress hardwoods and far greater attention to assembly that together add years of maintenance free durability on your deck or at the beach. His furniture built 25 years ago can still be found solidly built and amazingly comfortable. Your friends and family will fight over these chairs!
